In 1988, the firstPetit Ours Brun  animated series began, followed by a second animated series in 2003. In 2016, the stori es even spawned a live musical comedy,  Petit Ours Brun â€" Le Spectacle  (Little Brown Bear â€" The Show). Needless to say, Petit Ours Brun  is popular.All of the stories follow the life of a young brown bear as he struggles with standard issues preschoolers encounter as they grow up. However, several of these shorter episodes are often grouped together to make episodes that are around 30 minutes each.Masha is a mischievous girl who lives in the forest. The Bear does what he can to avert trouble caused by her mischief, but he generally doesnt succeed and hilarity ensues.The series is based partly on a childrens folk story, so its also a helpful way to learn about Russian cultural heritage. Heres a guide to everything you need to know for dealing with your bosss ridiculous request: 1. Read your job description. Your boss asked you to clean the toilet. But youre the front desk girl. Do you  really  have bathroom duty? I dont know. Before you start a new job, you should always make sure you read your job description carefully. Dont be afraid to ask for a list of possible job duties. When youre asked to do something out-of-the-ordinary, go back and read the description of what you signed up for. If its not in there, chances are, you dont have to do it. 2. If its not in your job description, talk to a manager. It might be as simple as  miscommunication,  but theres also a chance that someone is taking advantage of you. Dont be afraid to take your job description to a manager. Part of being a good manager is ensuring your employees are happy in their roles on the team. If you feel as though youre being expected to do more than whats in your job description, dont be afraid to talk to a manager. Part of their job is to  manage  their employees. 3. Dont be afraid to ask questions. Intimidation is always a factor when it comes to  why  employees dont go to their bosses when theyre unhappy with whats being asked of them. Dont feel like you have to walk into your bosss office in a confrontative way just to approach the topic. Most managers are more than happy to answer questions. Maybe instead of coming to your manager with the attitude:  I feel like Ive been asked to do something ridiculous and I dont want to do it,  ask them if the task youve been assigned is part of your job description. So dont let your boss talk you into completing favors for them without being on the clock. Even if its running something to the post office thats not your job. If it  is  in your job to run errands for your boss, there should already be a system in place for how youll be compensated. 5. Pushing back is appreciated in the workplace. Imagine an office where everyone does exactly as theyre told, no questions asked. Nothing ever changes. If youre in a position where youre unhappy with what someone has asked of you, dont be afraid to push back a little bit. Respectfully push back, obviously. But without you, things would stay the same;  stagnant.  You can be the change in this workplace. And for the people who come after you, things will never be the same. 6. Come to a conclusion that suits both of you. Maybe all you need is a little conversation in order to settle this dispute between you and your boss. Whether its deciding on a longer timeline for the project to get done, splitting up the work with one of your coworkers, or giving the task to someone who is more fit for the job altogether, communication is key in this situation. 7. Follow up with your boss and show your appreciation for the way things were handled. Dont walk away from a situation with your head held high because you got out of doing something ridiculous without saying thank you to the people who worked through the problem with you. Its unfair to expect that people will just bend to your rules. So instead of walking away feeling pleased with yourself, walk away with an appreciation for the people you work with. Count your many blessings that you have a boss or a manager who is willing to work with you and listens to you when you dont feel comfortable completing something thats been asked of you. Sometimes work situations can be a bit tricky how should you navigate being asked to do something that you dont think is warranted?  If youre a recent college graduate (or even if you arent), youre probably looking for tips on how to handle various workplace situations. Brief: The short answer to that question is that it is better to get an A in an AP class. Answer I imagine that is not the answer most of you out there were looking for but it’s true. That being said, any time you get an A on your grade report and any time you have an AP class listed on your grade report, it looks good to colleges trust us, our Orange County admissions consultants know. Choose the course that gives you the best shot at getting an A If you know for absolute certain that you will not get an A in AP Statistics but you have a pretty good shot at getting an A in AP Language then by all means choose the course that plays to your strengths. Remember that AP courses are college level courses that happen to be offered in high school, and thus they are not a walk in the park for any student (READ: Mastering AP English Language). AP courses involve both letters and numbers Don’t forget that you will also need to pay close attention to the number you score on the May exam. Scoring a 5, of course, will be the most impressive but a score of 4 or 3 also counts toward college level credit (READ: Last minute AP study guide). This leads us to the next question: Is it better to get an A or a 5? I think you already know the answer to this one: It’s better to get an A and a 5. This is just the reality of AP courses. The course itself is challenging and time consuming and the test takes a lot of brain power and on-the-spot thinking. Don’t forget that you are an individual If, at this time, you feel that the best you could get in an AP class is a C and the best you could get on the exam is a 2, then that will not be time well spent. On the other hand, don’t sell yourself short. If you are getting As and Bs in your regular classes then you should definitely consider taking a AP course. You can always get some help from a private tutor who can guide you through the stress of the organization, the tight deadlines and the critical thinking involved in most AP courses. If you are great at taking exams but don’t think that you can make it through the year-long course, remember that you are not required to take the course in order to take the exam. Think about where you want to attend university This is really important. If you want to go to a top tier school then you will need multiple AP courses, 4s or 5s on the exams, as well as many other impressive things to add to your student resume. If the universities that you are interested in look at AP courses as an added bonus, then you might be putting too much pressure on yourself. It’s important to start looking at colleges in your sophomore year to get an idea of what will be expected of you in order to meet the admissions requirements (READ: Five Tips For Your College Entrance Essay).
